Finally, try out the steps yourself.<\/div>\r\nMany different [pb_glossary id=\"708\"]programs[\/pb_glossary]<\/strong> can be used to make a digital story. WeVideo is the program<\/strong> explained in this book because it is free and easy to learn. To use WeVideo, you\u2019ll need to create an account<\/strong>. This requires you to have an email address, because your email address will be your log in<\/strong> name. (If you don\u2019t have an email address, follow the steps in Appendix 5<\/a>: Creating a Gmail [pb_glossary id=\"641\"]Account[\/pb_glossary]<\/strong>.) Follow these steps to create a WeVideo [pb_glossary id=\"641\"]account[\/pb_glossary]<\/strong>:\r\n\r\n1. Open an [pb_glossary id=\"684\"]Internet browser[\/pb_glossary]<\/strong>, like Explorer, Chrome, or Firefox.\r\n\r\n2. Type www.wevideo.com in the [pb_glossary id=\"645\"]address bar[\/pb_glossary]<\/strong> at the top. Press ENTER.\r\n\r\n\"address<\/a>\r\n\r\n3. Click SIGN UP in the top right corner.\r\n\r\n4. You\u2019ll see three different options. Choose GET STARTED, under the word FREE.\r\n\r\n5. Click FIRST\u00a0NAME and type your first name.\r\n\r\n6. Repeat step 5 for your last name, email, and password. Your password needs to have at least six letters. Write down your password and keep it somewhere safe.\r\n\r\n\"Sign<\/a>\r\n\r\n7. Click SIGN\u00a0UP.\r\n\r\n8. A video will pop up. Don\u2019t watch it. Click CLOSE.\r\n\r\n\"Video<\/a>\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nNow you have your own WeVideo [pb_glossary id=\"641\"]account[\/pb_glossary]<\/strong>! You can access it from any computer that has Internet. Just remember, with your free [pb_glossary id=\"641\"]account[\/pb_glossary]<\/strong>, you can only create five minutes of video each month. Don\u2019t hit the\u00a0PUBLISH\u00a0<\/strong>button until you are sure you are finished.\r\n\r\n1. Press the GET\u00a0STARTED button.\r\n\r\n2. There is one more short form to fill out. Click the buttons beside the options that are true for you. Choose NONE\u00a0for \u201cediting experience,\u201d even if you have done video editing before.\r\n\r\n\"Filled<\/a>\r\n\r\n3. Click START\u00a0EDITING. You will be taken to a screen called the Editor. This is where you combine all of your [pb_glossary id=\"690\"]media[\/pb_glossary]<\/strong> into a film.\r\n\r\n\"Start<\/a>\r\n\r\nLet\u2019s upload your visual media to the WeVideo Editor. Right now your files are on your computer, but they need to be saved to the MyMedia folder in WeVideo so that you can use them.
