\r\n\r\nThe third season of the Accessibility Bites series was built upon the success of the previous two seasons, with a slight difference.\u00a0\u00a0Emphasis was less on digital accessibility, and more broadly on accessible pedagogy and practices, while also sharing the lived experiences of folks navigating the post-secondary system. We had seven facilitators from across BC who facilitated the following topics for Accessibility Bites 3.0:\r\n\r\nThe\u00a02025-26 Accessibility Bites Series\u00a0had 7 sessions:<\/span>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n

  1. Introduction to Web Accessibility<\/a><\/li>\r\n \t
  2. Supporting Post-Secondary Students with ADHD<\/a><\/li>\r\n \t
  3. Let\u2019s Talk about Learning Disabilities<\/a><\/li>\r\n \t
  4. The Gift of Dyslexia<\/a><\/li>\r\n \t
  5. Access Friction<\/a><\/li>\r\n \t
  6. UDL 3.0 in Practice<\/a><\/li>\r\n \t
  7. An Indigenous Lens on Disability Rights<\/a><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\nScheduled for 30 minutes during the lunch hour once a month, the hope was to give busy educators bite-sized learning that they could put into practice right away. Recognizing the short duration of these sessions, the hope has always been that these resources would be used as a starting point, prompting attendees to dive deeper into the work and have conversations with their peers about how we can create more accessible learning experiences for our students. We were thrilled to learn of \u201cviewing parties\u201d happening at some campuses, where participants joined the virtual session while together in one classroom, and then discussing the topic further, with (and without) an accessibility advisor present, once the virtual session was done.\r\n\r\nSession slides are openly licensed to allow others to adapt and offer the series for their own audiences.\r\n\r\n<\/div>","rendered":"
