The latest version, adapted in 2007, includes changes and improvements based on recent studies and focuses on eating more wholesome foods. The four food groups are:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Vegetables and fruit<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Grain products<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Milk and alternatives<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Meat and alternatives<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nDepending on a person\u2019s gender and age, Canada\u2019s food guide recommends the number of servings in each food group that a person should consume (Tables 1a-1d).
