Any number of sides can be developed with this same method.<\/div>\r\n

  1. Draw a [pb_glossary id=\"477\"]plan[\/pb_glossary]<\/strong> and [pb_glossary id=\"499\"]elevation view[\/pb_glossary]<\/strong>. When a pyramid is being developed, the plan view must have a point on the X axis to to give it a true length in the elevation view.\r\n\"\"<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t
  2. Locate a radius point where you want to develop the pattern.\"\"<\/li>\r\n \t
  3. With your compass, take the [pb_glossary id=\"481\"]slant height[\/pb_glossary]<\/strong> from the elevation view and swing an arc ([pb_glossary id=\"482\"]stretch-out arc[\/pb_glossary]<\/strong>).\"\"<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t
  4. Establish a starting point for the pattern and draw a line back to the radius point. The starting point can be anywhere along the arc.\"\"<\/li>\r\n \t
