The process of pattern development gives us the ability to take that visual representation and actually create the object. It allows us to turn two-dimensional metal, into three-dimensional objects, which is the basis for everything we fabricate.\n

    • Element Line \u2013 <\/strong>a line representing an edge or bend.<\/li>\n \t
    • Perimeter \u2013 <\/strong>the distance around an object.<\/li>\n \t
    • Plan view<\/strong> \u2013 <\/strong>looking down at something, a \u201cbirds eye view,\u201d \u201cfloor plan,\u201d 2D.<\/li>\n \t
    • Profile \u2013 <\/strong>a view showing half of a plan view.<\/li>\n \t
    • Sector \u2013 <\/strong>a special profile which is inside of an object, a section view.<\/li>\n \t
    • Step-off \u2013 <\/strong>a length equal to [latex]\\small\\frac{1}{12}[\/latex] of a circumference.<\/li>\n \t
    • Stretch-out \u2013 <\/strong>a shape which has been \u201cstretched out,\u201d to take a perimeter and make it straight.<\/li>\n \t
    • True length \u2013 <\/strong>a dimension or line that is not distorted by the view.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","rendered":"
