The following are some ways we can practice holding space:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Come alongside someone and bring our full presence<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Let go of any agendas we might have<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Don\u2019t fill the sacred space with advice, too much talking, or anything that is not welcomed by the person\u2013especially if our motivation for filling the space is about masking our own discomfort<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Notice \u2013 and then suspend \u2013 any judgements, biases, or assumptions we might have. It\u2019s not for us to judge the way the person is processing their situation. Remember that we are seeing the situation from our own perspectives<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Listen and engage with empathy<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Don\u2019t try to fix the person \u2013 trust their inner wisdom<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Don't take someone\u2019s power away by doing too much for them, or by making decisions for them that are not for us to make<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Let go of our ego and the need to see a particular outcome.
