We are actively committed to increasing the accessibility and usability of the textbooks we produce.\r\n<h2>Accessibility features of the web version of this resource<\/h2>\r\nThe web version of <a href=\"https:\/\/opentextbc.ca\/plantidentification\/\"><em>Red Seal Landscape Horticulturist Identify Plants and Plant Requirements<\/em><\/a>[footnote]https:\/\/opentextbc.ca\/plantidentification\/[\/footnote] includes the following accessibility features:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>All content can be navigated using a keyboard<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Links, headings, and tables use proper markup<\/li>\r\n \t<li>All images have basic text descriptions<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Information is not conveyed by colour alone.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Videos include closed captions.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h2>Known accessibility issues and areas for improvement<\/h2>\r\nWhile we strive to ensure that this resource is as accessible and usable as possible, we might not always get it right. All issues we are aware of are listed below:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>This textbook contains a number of images and diagrams of different types of plants. These images have general text descriptions, but they may not be descriptive enough for Blind students.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>The image sequencing H5P activity type has not passed accessibility tests. This activity type can be found in the following chapters: Plants for Floral Landscape Situations; Plants for Favorable Planting Situations; Seasonal Plants; and Plants for Green Infrastructure Projects<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h2>Other file formats available<\/h2>\r\nIn addition to the web version, this book is available in a number of file formats, including PDF, EPUB (for eReaders), MOBI (for Kindles), and various editable files.
