Non-mechanical or \u201catmospheric burners\u201d rely on atmospheric pressure to supply the required combustion air. This learning competency will focus primarily on atmospheric burners.\n\nAlthough a greater number of gas appliances are moving towards mechanical burners to achieve higher efficiency standards the fundamentals characteristics of atmospheric burners are relevant to all burner types.
