Laptop computer\r\n\r\n2. Music CD\r\n\r\n3. Book: yes, a printed book is a technological artefact! It doesn't have to be digital to be a technology.\r\n\r\n4. Mobile phone\r\n\r\n5. Satellite\u00a0receiver\/converter\r\n\r\n6. Television\u00a0monitor\r\n\r\n7. DVD player\r\n\r\n8. Apple TV box\r\n\r\n9.\u00a0Audio-visual\u00a0receiver\/control box with\u00a07 channels, 1080p HDMI, Dolby and DTS format support\r\n\r\n10.\u00a0Loudspeakers (3 in picture, including a woofer, back right)\r\n\r\n11. Remote control (one:\u00a0for all equipment except computer, mobile phone and book)\r\n\r\n<strong>Software<\/strong>\r\n\r\nAlmost impossible to list and unobservable anyway, but would include iTunes, iPhoto (uses photos from iPhoto library\u00a0as a screen saver for the TV monitor when music is playing), digital conversion in the A\/V receiver, etc., etc.\r\n\r\n<strong>Networks<\/strong>\r\n\r\nWi-fi\r\n\r\nInternet\r\n\r\nTelephone\r\n\r\nRadio\r\n\r\nSatellite TV (could have been cable, or broadband\u00a0telephone, but isn't)\r\n\r\n<strong>Services<\/strong>\r\n\r\nSatellite broadcast television channels\r\n\r\nRadio stations (global choice, via Sonos)\r\n\r\nApple TV (including Netflix and other streaming services)\r\n\r\nSonos music (including Deezer, a service similar to Netflix for music)\r\n\r\n<strong>Necessary for integration<\/strong>\r\n\r\nSingle remote control (eHarmony)\r\n\r\nAudio-visual receiver\r\n\r\nApple TV\r\n\r\nApple Mac Pro laptop computer\r\n\r\nMobile phone (controls Sonos and iTunes)\r\n\r\n<strong>My wish for the future<\/strong>: one portable box, please!!!!!!!!\r\n\r\nI think whoever owns this home entertainment system could do with a model for technology selection (OK, I'll admit it, it's mine).
