The open textbooks in the B.C. Open Textbook Collection are controlled by our project, not individual authors or outside publishers, so access will not be restricted unexpectedly. On occasion, we will archive a textbook in the collection. Before this happens, however, we are sure to take the following measures:
- Inform other projects that access and use our collection as part of their own
- Inform any adopting faculty who have reported to us that they have adopted this textbook
- Place a notification in the BCcampus newsletter published weekly
