OE Sustainability Grant (2019
JIBC will engage in these open education projects over the next two years:
- Host an Open Education Showcase (Fall 2019)
- Host a JIBC open education professional development day (Summer 2020)
- Create and host a series of eight workshops
- Create and host UDL professional development series
- Establish a more formalized open education working group
- Fund the development of a collaborative OER project chosen by this group
- Create an Open JIBC website that will:
- Provide case studies of faculty engaged in OEP
- Highlight the key messaging of “JIBC Open First”
- Supplement the existing library toolkit and libguides
- Identify OER created at JIBC
- List which courses use OER and provide links to those OER
- Facilitate a Criminology ancillary sprint to complement the upcoming criminology book out of KPU
