Public Health in Pharmacy Practice: A Casebook, 2nd Edition (CC BY)

This casebook was developed in an effort to further the goals of pharmacy curricula related to population-based care, cultural sensitivity, interprofessional collaboration, and health and wellness. This casebook is a collaboration of over 90 individuals with expertise and training in public health pharmacy. Topics include cross-cultural care, health literacy and disparities, infectious disease, health promotion and disease prevention, medication safety, structural racism, advocacy/policy analysis, chronic disease, women’s health, rural health, and travel medicine.

Introduces the principles of pharmacology, including drug classifications and their effects on the body. Emphasis is on the use of the components of the nursing process when administering medications.

Nursing Pharmacology – Chippewa Valley Technical College (CC BY)

This book is designed for entry-level undergraduate nursing students and is aligned with the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) statewide nursing curriculum for the Nursing Pharmacology course (543-103).  It explains basic concepts of pharmacology and describes common medication classes.
