This document offers a description of the Seghers Collection, which is housed at the University of Victoria. Charles John Seghers (1839–1886) was the second Roman Catholic bishop of Victoria. The Seghers Collection consists of approximately 4,000 volumes. It is essentially Seghers’ personal library complemented by collateral works purchased by the diocese.

Approaching Religion Through Story (CC BY-NC)

A collection of stories relating to Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Islam that address beliefs, values and issues, and practices and traditions. Each of the stories is accompanied by notes for teachers (providing background information) and suggested discussion questions (to be adjusted as necessary for different learners and levels). These resources are curated by the School of Divinity at the University of Edinburgh.

For use by seminary graduate students in an introductory course on the sacred West African spiritual tradition Ifa. This guide is comprised of open scholarly content and images and resides in LibGuide form, which will benefit others globally who seek open course content on African spiritual and religious traditions.

Evolution of Wisdom: Major and Minor Keys (CC BY-NC-ND)

This volume emerges from the final conference of the Evolution of Wisdom project and reflects its ongoing attempt to develop integrative dialogue and innovative outcomes between evolutionary, anthropological, and theological perspectives. The Evolution of Wisdom project has attempted, in a rigorous way, to develop toolkits to search for how the capacity for human wisdom has evolved and what that might mean for anthropology and theology today.
